Film School In a Box brings action, adventure and a lot of comedy to your classroom.  Our full day in class workshop puts all of the filmmaking equipment in the hands of your students as they work through the stages of media production under the guidance of a master filmmaker. 

 

Choose from Lego Stop motion, claymation, short films, 180 second documentaries, News Broadcast, Commercial making or develop digital design skills through our Digital Pranks photo editing workshop.  

Let's get your students imagination and creativity out of the box and onto the big screen this year.

LEARN ABOUT OUR EXCITING IN CLASS WORKSHOPS

MAKE A MOVIE 

Your student film crew will works in small cohorts of 3 or less to create their own blockbuster short. The workshop will engage your students in story structure, script development, media literacy based skill development and collaborative technology processes.

NEWS BROADCAST

Your student film crew will develop and create their own fiction / non fiction breaking newscast and support it with traditional and non traditional news gathering and reporting skills used in television and social media.

180 SECOND DOCUMENTARY

Get your ideas on to the big screen in 180 seconds or less. The documentary workshop is a blockbuster culminating tool to your unit of inquiry.  The workshop will engage your students in research, story structure and collaborative technology processes.

LEGO ANIMATION AND CLAYMATION

Students will participate in all facets of the stop motion process, including script development, set development, production and post production. Skill development includes story structure, arts, STEAM, media literacy and collaborative use of technology processes.

COMMERCIAL MAKING

Get your students next product, or service out of the box and onto the big screen in our commercial making workshops.  Students will use persuasion, and other tactics used in advertising to create, film and edit their commercial.
